Large Fruit Still Uneaten is the second album from Bristol/Marseille-based musician, pre-apocalyptic sound poet and visual artist BIPED. This new nine-track set evolves their distinctive sound world of dense, restless and at times abrasive rhythmic collage, both satirical and sincere, with nods to sound poetry, musique concrète, 2000s IDM programming and abstract beats, activism and performance art (among other things). Amplifier drones are overlaid with poem-incantations to forgotten gods, field recordings and search results are reassembled into clattering hyper-ballads, time-stretched folk songs track the unconscious flows of the desiring machine.
